Magnicity announces rooftop ice rink at Paris Montparnasse
Skating at altitude without leaving Paris is now possible. Every year during the month of February, the roof of the Montparnasse Tower hosts an unusual attraction: a 210 square meter ice rink, as well as two curling rinks .
The first of its kind
According to Arnaud Comyn, development manager at Boaz Concept , the company behind this project, the rink was a world’s first when first launched in 2017. “We skate on the roof of Paris, with a 360-degree view day and night,” he explains to La Voix du Nord. The organizers expect around 50,000 people annually for this event.
