For 53 years, the 56th floor and rooftop terrace of Montparnasse Tower gave visitors all of Paris at once: the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur, even planes landing in the distance. More than 30 million people took in the view before the observatory closed on March 31, 2026 for the tower’s renovation.

French history starts here, and architectural styles from every age are still only a walk away. Even in the 21st century, Paris drifts between high-tech, classicism and the much-loved “French Touch”. Nestled in a loop of the Seine, the beauty of the city is everywhere. In its monuments, squares, cafés, and indeed everyone who lives there.

"I absolutely love this attraction. It has the best view of Paris for a reasonable price. The 360° view is astonishing and you can also go up to the rooftop. The building was far from busy with plenty of room to move around and take photos.
