Magnicity launched an all-new interactive experience at Berlin TV Tower this week, with the opening of Berlin’s Odyssey. The innovative virtual reality experience features amazing historical reconstructions and hyper-realistic animations over the course of 15 breathtaking minutes.
The newly renovated television tower offers visitors a unique and completely innovative way to tell the story of Berlin and its iconic tower.
An Innovative Experience for Tourists and Locals Alike
For the first time Berliners, Germans and international visitors can discover the history of Berlin in breathtaking virtual reality. With their headsets, guests begin their virtual journey by flying over the German capital and observing its development from the Middle Ages through the German Empire to divided Berlin and finally the city as it is today.
The Making of Berlin’s Odyssey
Developed in partnership with Timescope, Berlin’s Odyssey is the result of extensive historical research and meticulous motion capture modeling. This surprising and moving experience is a combination of realistic 3D reconstructions and selected video and photo archives. It is available in German and English and is suitable for children aged 6 and over.
